Nordex Group reported a 29.5 percent increase in order intake for the third quarter of 2026, reaching 2,810 megawatts (MW) in its Projects segment, up from 2,170 MW in the same period last year. The company disclosed the figures in a press release issued on October 12, 2026, highlighting continued momentum in the global wind energy market.
For the first nine months of 2026, order intake totaled 7,733 MW, a 16.1 percent rise compared to 6,661 MW in the prior-year period. The average sales price (ASP) stood at EUR 0.90 million per MW in the third quarter of 2026, down slightly from EUR 0.93 million per MW a year earlier, while the nine-month ASP was EUR 0.93 million per MW, up from EUR 0.92 million per MW. The company attributed the pricing development primarily to project scope and regional mix effects, noting that the pricing environment remained stable.
Between July and September 2026, customers ordered a total of 427 wind turbines for projects across 10 countries. The strongest individual markets were Türkiye, Germany, and the United States. Türkiye led with more than 900 MW, and in the US, Nordex has booked more than 1.3 gigawatts (GW) year to date.
“Our order intake is becoming more globally diversified, and the third quarter confirms this,” said José Luis Blanco, CEO of the Nordex Group. “Türkiye led with more than 900 MW, and in the US we have now booked more than 1.3 GW year to date. We expect the international share to keep growing as we convert our pipeline in the coming quarters, while order momentum in Europe and Germany remains strong.”
The results underscore Nordex’s expanding geographic footprint and its ability to secure orders in key markets despite a competitive landscape. The company, which has commissioned more than 64 GW of wind power capacity in over 40 markets since 1985, generated consolidated sales of around EUR 7.6 billion in 2025. With more than 11,100 employees and manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the US, and Türkiye, Nordex focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, designed for countries with limited space and constrained grid capacity.
Nordex SE is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN: DE000A0D6554). The original release is available on www.newmediawire.com, and further information can be found at NEWMEDIAWIRE.
The strong order intake signals robust demand for renewable energy solutions and positions Nordex to capitalize on the global energy transition. With a diversified order book and stable pricing, the company appears well-equipped to navigate market uncertainties and continue its growth trajectory in the coming quarters.
