MindBio Therapeutics Corp. (CSE: MBIO; Frankfurt: WF6; OTCQB: MBQIF) has completed manufacturing of its next-generation Edge AI Intoxication Detection Kiosk, the company announced. The new hardware builds on a prototype developed in June and is designed to support MindBio’s proprietary Voice AI technology, which analyzes vocal characteristics to identify potential impairment from drugs or alcohol.
The completion of manufacturing marks a key step toward deploying the kiosk in real-world settings. MindBio is continuing software integration, system testing and validation of its predictive models against conventional breath alcohol and oral fluid testing methods. A potential initial commercial pilot is targeted for later this year, which would provide an opportunity to evaluate the technology’s performance in a real-world environment against existing testing methods.
The kiosk is being developed as a rapid, non-invasive alternative to conventional drug and alcohol screening. MindBio is targeting safety-sensitive industries including mining, aviation, construction, heavy transport and law enforcement. By enabling more frequent, large-scale workplace screening, the technology could potentially reduce testing costs, administration time and operational disruptions.
MindBio’s AI prediction model uses over 50 million data points to predict alcohol intoxication with remarkable accuracy, just by using the human voice. The company is commercialising AI prediction technologies for drug and alcohol intoxication detection via voice analysis, and is developing an enterprise platform including Edge-AI kiosks that integrate bespoke hardware and software for a range of enterprise environments.
