Travelodge Hotels Asia has expanded its South Korean portfolio with the opening of Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul, a 360-room property that is now the company’s largest hotel in Asia. The fully renovated hotel, announced via Media OutReach Newswire, is the fifth Travelodge in South Korea and reflects the brand’s refreshed look and feel, making it one of the few newly updated hotels in the Gangnam district.
The opening underscores Travelodge’s strategic focus on key urban locations. Gangnam is a major business, shopping, and cultural hub, and the new hotel aims to capture both business and leisure travelers. “Gangnam has so much to offer, from business and shopping to local culture. We’re excited to welcome guests to Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul, offering a comfortable place to unwind and a stay they can trust while enjoying everything the city has to offer,” said Anthony Yoo, Hotel Manager of Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul.
The hotel features well-appointed rooms with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, along with a satisfying breakfast provided by BON Food Service, an established Korean food-service operator. A GS25 convenience store is scheduled to open by the end of October. For business travelers, amenities include a spacious co-working lounge, fitness center, and meeting facilities for up to 60 people. Additional conveniences include a business center, guest lounge with microwave and hydration center, 43 parking spaces, self-service laundry, currency exchange kiosk, and a 24-hour front desk.
The property offers a range of room types, including Queen, Twin, Triple, Quadruple, and Accessible Rooms, catering to solo travelers, couples, families, and groups. Its location in Yeoksam provides easy access to Seoul’s business district, cultural landmarks, and shopping destinations. Just 600 meters away, the Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs showcase Korea’s royal history, while Bongeunsa Temple near COEX offers a glimpse into traditional Buddhist culture. Business travelers can reach COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, Starfield Mall, and Library within 15 minutes by bus or subway. The Gangnam Station Shopping District offers dining, shopping, and nightlife, and Lotte World is about 30 minutes away by subway. Garosu-gil and Apgujeong Rodeo are nearby for fashion, beauty, and café culture.
To celebrate the opening, the hotel is running a “Stay Gold in Gangnam” promotion, offering eligible guests who book directly from October 2026 to January 2027 the chance to win a 24K gold bar through the hotel’s Fortune Wheel and enjoy a complimentary Hanbok experience. Members also benefit from Best Price Guarantee+, up to 5% cashback after their stay, and perks such as Early Check-In and Late Check-Out. Travelers can Sign up for free to unlock these benefits.
The opening marks another milestone in Travelodge Hotels Asia‘s regional expansion. The company, headquartered in Singapore, currently operates 18 hotels across Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand, with plans to exceed 50 properties by 2030. Backed by more than 80 years of global brand heritage, Travelodge focuses on value-driven stays centered on Comfort, Convenience, and Connection.
