The 46th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 29th electronicAsia concluded on October 16, 2026, drawing more than 61,000 buyers from 141 countries and regions over four days. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and MMI Asia, the twin fairs underscored Hong Kong’s position as an international trading hub for innovation and technology, with strong buyer attendance from the Chinese Mainland, India, Japan and the United States, plus encouraging growth from Kazakhstan and Brazil.
This year’s Electronics Fair centred on three themes: AI & Robotics, Smart Wellness and NEXTEntertainment. electronicAsia complemented the event with dedicated zones for electronic components, display technologies, printed circuit boards, manufacturing services, and testing equipment, creating a one-stop sourcing marketplace. The fairs featured more than 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, and the HKTDC organised 130 buying missions involving buyers from 65 countries, including Samsung Electronics and SSG.com from Korea, Brazil’s Karimex, Stetsom and Mondial, Argentina’s Mercado Libre, and Kenya’s Pixel Electric Ltd.
Silas Chu, HKTDC Associate Executive Director, said the fairs generated strong sourcing momentum and facilitated numerous business deals and partnerships. He noted that trade fairs are evolving beyond product showcases to become platforms for innovation, industry exchange and cross-sector collaboration. The newly introduced Future Industries Zone and GoGlobal Connect Zone were well received, reflecting demand from Chinese Mainland enterprises seeking overseas expansion via Hong Kong’s professional services.
An independent survey of over 1,150 buyers and exhibitors found that 96% expected overall sales to increase or remain stable over the next 12 to 24 months. The most promising growth opportunities were identified in ASEAN (83%), the Middle East (83%) and the Chinese Mainland (81%). Meanwhile, 74% of surveyed companies already apply or plan to apply generative AI technologies, and nearly 60% named AI as the technology expected to have the greatest industry impact over the next two years.
RoboPark and the Future Industries Zone were major highlights, featuring more than 120 robots across commercial, industrial, entertainment and healthcare applications. Leading Chinese Mainland robotics firms such as UBTECH, AgiBot and DEEP Robotics participated, while Booster Robotics, winner of the 2026 RoboCup World Championship, showcased its humanoid robot. Yang Liuyang, APAC Sales Director of Booster Robotics, said the company receives around 100 buyer visits daily and expects to appoint one to two distributors in Hong Kong this quarter.
Hong Kong company Xeroptix Technology Limited presented AI brain technologies for robots, engaging with over 50 potential clients and expecting potential orders worth over US$1 million. First-time exhibitor Clevetura from Cyprus sought distribution partners for its combined keyboard-touchpad device. The fairs also hosted more than 120 start-ups, including Hong Kong-based Fliq, which secured two strategic cooperation opportunities.
Global buyers actively sourced innovative products. Cizar Abughazaleh, CEO of Dubai-based Action to Action, purchased a dancing robot and a larger humanoid robot for testing. Fabio Marqui of Brazil’s Hayamax finalised a US$200,000 order and expects around four new collaborations. The HKTDC’s October exhibition season continues with the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, and Eco Expo Asia. The online editions of both fairs remain open until 23 October. For more details, visit the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and electronicAsia websites, or the HKTDC Media Room.
