Olenox Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: OLOX) announced the completion of its $21.7 million acquisition of Wildboy Holdings, Ltd. and IPD Industries, Inc., a transaction that merges natural gas resources and processing infrastructure in British Columbia with a power-development platform in West Texas. The company said the deals support its strategy to build an integrated gas-to-power-to-compute platform aimed at artificial intelligence, data centers and digital-asset operations.
The acquisition was financed almost entirely through Series F preferred stock, which is convertible into common shares subject to certain restrictions. The structure allows Olenox to pursue the combination without a large upfront cash outlay, though it introduces potential dilution for existing shareholders.
The Wildboy assets include approximately 184,785 acres, a natural gas processing facility with capacity of up to 144 million cubic feet per day and approximately 56.8 billion cubic feet of proved developed natural gas reserves. Management estimates the British Columbia assets could support an initial power-generation opportunity of up to 50 megawatts, subject to equipment, infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
The acquired IPD platform near Pecos, Texas, holds a 100-megawatt self-generator registration with the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Olenox plans to develop generation capacity in stages based on customer demand and available capital, positioning the company to expand across natural gas production, electricity generation and computing applications.
The announcement matters because it marks a concrete step in Olenox’s effort to vertically integrate from natural gas production through power generation to computing. By owning gas reserves and processing capacity while securing a Texas self-generator registration, the company is seeking to capture value at multiple points in the energy chain at a time when demand for power from data centers and AI workloads is rising. The staged development approach, however, means the ultimate scale of the platform will depend on customer contracts, equipment availability, regulatory approvals and access to capital.
Olenox Industries Inc. (NASDAQ:OLOX) describes itself as a vertically integrated U.S. energy company operating across oil and gas, energy services and energy technologies, including the proprietary Olenox process. The company said it is focused on acquiring, optimizing and scaling energy-related infrastructure and operating assets, with a strategic focus on bringing low-cost natural gas to high-value end uses, including digital infrastructure and next-generation computing.
