TruGolf Holdings (NASDAQ: TRUG), a producer of advanced golf simulation systems for home and entertainment venues, has completed its acquisition of Polymath Research Inc., the company announced. The transaction, initially announced on October 9, brings a blockchain platform designed for regulated financial assets into the publicly traded golf technology company’s operations. Polymath will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, combining TruGolf’s simulation hardware and software with Polymath’s infrastructure for issuing and managing tokenized securities.
The acquisition adds regulated digital-asset infrastructure to TruGolf’s existing golf simulation technology business. Polymath developed Polymesh, a Layer-1 blockchain specifically designed for regulated securities and tokenized real-world assets. As of December 31, 2025, Polymath had issued more than $132 million in tokenized assets for over 65 active issuers, according to the release. That track record gives TruGolf a foothold in the growing field of institutional tokenization, where real-world assets are represented on a blockchain under regulatory compliance.
The combined company plans to pursue two complementary businesses: golf simulation technology and institutional tokenization infrastructure. TruGolf Links and Polymath are developing tokenized financing for equipment leasing and fractional franchise ownership, with initiatives targeted for the first quarter of 2027. This move could allow TruGolf to offer new financing options to its customers and partners, potentially expanding its addressable market beyond traditional equipment sales. The integration of tokenized assets into the golf industry is a novel application that may attract institutional investors interested in alternative assets.
In conjunction with the acquisition, TruGolf has appointed Natalie Hirsch as Group CFO and COO. Additionally, a warrant exercise generated $2.95 million in net proceeds, strengthening the company’s balance sheet as it integrates the new business. The acquisition positions TruGolf at the intersection of sports technology and digital finance, a space that has seen increasing interest from both retail and institutional investors.
