TruGolf Completes Polymath Acquisition to Add Institutional Tokenization Infrastructure

TruGolf Holdings (NASDAQ: TRUG), a producer of advanced golf simulation systems for home or entertainment venues, has completed its acquisition of Polymath Research Inc., the company announced October 21, 2026. The transaction, first announced October 9, brings a blockchain platform designed for regulated financial assets into the publicly traded golf technology company’s business.

The acquisition adds regulated digital-asset infrastructure to TruGolf’s existing golf simulation technology business. Polymath developed Polymesh, a Layer-1 blockchain designed for regulated securities and tokenized real-world assets. As of December 31, 2025, Polymath had issued more than $132 million in tokenized assets for over 65 active issuers.

Polymath will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, and the combined company plans to pursue two complementary businesses: golf simulation technology and institutional tokenization infrastructure. TruGolf Links and Polymath are developing tokenized financing for equipment leasing and fractional franchise ownership, with initiatives targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

The deal marks a notable shift for a golf simulation company, placing it at the intersection of traditional entertainment technology and institutional blockchain finance. By integrating Polymath’s regulated tokenization platform, TruGolf aims to create new financing mechanisms for its golf operations while also offering infrastructure to external issuers of tokenized securities.

In conjunction with the acquisition, TruGolf has appointed Natalie Hirsch as Group CFO and COO. The company also reported that a warrant exercise generated $2.95 million in net proceeds.

The combined company’s dual-business strategy could provide diversification beyond the golf simulation market, which is subject to consumer spending cycles and hardware demand. Tokenized real-world assets represent a growing area of institutional finance, and Polymath’s existing issuer base offers a foundation for expansion.

For investors, the acquisition introduces new revenue potential but also carries execution risks, including regulatory developments and the adoption of tokenized securities. The planned tokenized financing initiatives for equipment leasing and fractional franchise ownership, targeted for the first quarter of 2027, will be an early test of the combined company’s ability to integrate its operations.
