REALM Global to Publish ‘The Age of the Trusted,’ a Definitive Guide Written by 200 Luxury Advisors

In May 2027, two hundred of the world’s most prolific luxury advisors and fifty gatekeepers to its greatest fortunes will convene at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin for the REALM Global Collective. Their goal: to write The Age of the Trusted (working title), a definitive guide to luxury advisory intended to be published with Greenleaf Book Group. The announcement, made by REALM Global in October 2026, signals a push to codify best practices in an industry facing a historic transfer of wealth.

The book’s premise is that information is ubiquitous and free, while trust is rare and priceless. As any listing, valuation, or market report becomes instantly accessible, the distinguishing factor for families is the judgment and discretion of a trusted advisor. “Every family we serve already has more information than they could ever use,” said Julie Faupel, Founder and CEO of REALM Global. “What they cannot find on a screen is discernment, discretion, and the quiet confidence of an advisor who will still be beside them a decade from now.”

The timing reflects the scale of the wealth transfer underway. Cerulli projects $124 trillion will change hands through 2048, with more than half—$62 trillion—coming from high- and ultra-high-net-worth households. Meanwhile, the ultra-wealthy population is growing rapidly. According to Altrata, 556,850 individuals now hold $30 million or more, up 14.4% in a year, and that number is expected to reach 746,570 by 2030.

Yet advisory experiences often fall short. Only 17% of high-net-worth individuals describe their advisory experience as seamless and personalized, according to Capgemini’s World Wealth Report 2026. Excellence is also concentrated: among 840,000 producing U.S. agents, the top 1% close 18% of every transaction, per Mike DelPrete, Cotality data. REALM argues that what has been missing is a shared standard for advising the family itself—across generations, borders, and asset classes.

REALM Global, founded in March 2020, is an invitation-only, brand-agnostic network of roughly 600 members across 23 countries and 150+ brokerage brands, closing more than $50 billion annually. Nearly one in three members appear on RealTrends Verified rankings, and its Wealth Intelligence Hub spans over 220,000 verified clients with an average net worth of $28.9 million. The organization also estimates members exchange more than $10 billion in referral volume each year.

The 2027 Collective will feature twelve councils convening behind closed doors, each addressing a specific cohort—founders, generational families, the newly minted, family offices, and others. Every chapter will close with actionable practices. The findings will be shared throughout 2027, culminating in the published compendium, with each year’s Collective renewing the standard. The book is designed for three audiences: advisors seeking a standard, families seeking clarity, and gatekeepers seeking a shared language.

“The answer has never belonged to any one market or any one advisor,” Faupel said. “It belongs to the room.” For an industry navigating the largest wealth transfer in history, The Age of the Trusted aims to turn that conviction into a written standard.
