TruGolf Holdings (NASDAQ: TRUG), a producer of advanced golf simulation systems, has engaged its newly acquired subsidiary Polymath to move the ownership records of its indoor golf franchise business onto a blockchain-based securities platform, the company announced. The intercompany agreement, disclosed October 14, marks the first technology deployment since TruGolf completed its acquisition of Polymath on October 8, 2026, pairing TruGolf’s established golf simulation business with Polymath’s digital securities infrastructure.
Under the agreement, TruGolf Links Franchising LLC will work with Polymath Research Inc. to migrate its capitalization table onto Polymesh, a public, permissioned blockchain designed for regulated digital assets. The system is intended to incorporate investor identity verification and transfer restrictions into the ownership records, supporting investor onboarding and compliance controls as the franchise network expands.
The move comes as TruGolf Links scales toward more than 221 committed locations. Regional Developers in New Jersey, New York, and Illinois account for more than 100 future locations, according to the announcement. The tokenized ownership infrastructure is meant to accommodate that growth by embedding regulatory and compliance requirements directly into the cap table.
TruGolf and Polymath are also developing an equipment leasing program and fractional franchise ownership opportunities for qualified franchisees, with an initial rollout targeted for the first quarter of 2027. The company said no securities are currently being offered pursuant to the announcement and that any future offering would be made only through applicable offering documents and in accordance with securities laws.
The deployment matters because it tests whether blockchain-based securities infrastructure can support a consumer franchise network at scale. By putting its cap table on Polymesh, TruGolf Links aims to reduce the administrative friction of managing a growing investor base while keeping identity checks and transfer restrictions in place. If successful, the model could offer a template for other franchise operators seeking to combine fractional ownership with regulated digital asset rails.
The announcement also represents the first tangible integration milestone following the TruGolf-Polymath combination. TruGolf acquired Polymath to pair its golf simulation hardware and entertainment venue business with Polymath’s expertise in regulated digital securities. The cap table migration is an internal deployment, but it lays groundwork for the leasing and fractional ownership programs the companies plan to roll out next year.
For investors, the development signals that TruGolf intends to use Polymath’s technology commercially rather than keeping it as a standalone subsidiary. The company’s ability to execute on the franchise pipeline and launch the planned programs will be key to realizing the anticipated benefits.
