J3D.AI Labs has announced that the 2027 edition of House of Collaboration will take place from Sunday 17 to Thursday 21 January 2027 at Hotel Cresta Sun in Davos, Switzerland, under the theme “Antifragile Alliances and Responsible Technology Development in a Multi-Polar World.” The five-day programme will convene government, business, capital and research leaders during the annual gathering of global leaders in Davos. The 2026 edition welcomed more than 850 delegates from over 70 countries, with more than 120 speakers and 25 partners, including ministers from the New Nordics (NB8) countries and leaders from UNESCO, Invest India, NVIDIA, Cerebras, SAP and S&P Global.
The announcement matters because it signals a deliberate effort to counteract the fragmentation of global affairs. HoC 2027 starts from the observation that trade, technology and security increasingly split along competing blocs, and each new shock pushes partners further apart. The programme asks how leaders can build alliances that become stronger because of shocks—partnerships that learn from stress, spread risk across many actors and keep working when one part fails. The concept of antifragility, coined by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, describes systems that gain from stress. An antifragile alliance, in this framing, is not formed against others but across divides, and it grows stronger under pressure.
“Division is now the default setting of global affairs,” said Yip Thy Diep Ta, Co-Founder and CEO of J3D.AI. “In a multi-polar world, collaboration is no longer a courtesy. It is a strategic asset. We do not ask our delegates to agree on everything. We ask them to sit at one table, name their tensions honestly. An antifragile alliance is not one without conflict or disagreement. It is one that gets wiser every time it is tested.”
The HoC 2027 programme is built as five named summits: Cybernetic Foresight Roundtables on Sunday 17 January; Human Flourishing Summit on Monday 18 January; New Nordics Innovation Summit on Tuesday 19 January; Bridges to Europe Summit on Wednesday 20 January; and Capital & Wealth Summit on Thursday 21 January, closing with the Gathering of Decacorns, Unicorns and Soonicorns. Sessions will examine how frontier technologies such as AI, quantum computing, space and cyber security can be developed responsibly when no single power sets the rules. Topics include sovereign and resilient infrastructure, the energy demand of the next generation of data centres, and how public and private actors can share standards without sharing every interest. The community is large, but the rooms are deliberately small: each session is built for decision density rather than audience size, ensuring every conversation includes the people who can act on it.
A highlight of the week is the Gathering of Decacorns, Unicorns and Soonicorns on Thursday 21 January. Designed for founders of high-growth companies—from those on track to a USD 1 billion valuation (soonicorns) to those valued above USD 1 billion (unicorns) and USD 10 billion (decacorns)—alongside investors, capital allocators and policymakers, the gathering aims to put the builders of the next decade in the same room as the people who fund and regulate them, at the moment when frontier technology decides who leads.
“Responsible technology cannot be built by one country, one company or one bloc,” said Kevin Varend, Co-Founder and Managing Director of J3D.AI. “The builders, the regulators and the capital have to be in the same room early, not after the damage is done. House of Collaboration gives them a neutral place to do that, and a community that keeps them connected for the rest of the year.”
Participation in HoC 2027 is by invitation and application, with a limited number of residencies combining full-week participation with accommodation. Value-aligned organisations can co-host sessions, breakfasts, dinners and receptions across the week. HoC describes itself as a pansupra community: pan, across all borders, disciplines, generations and intelligences; supra, rising above the divisions that keep people apart, but never above the people themselves. This follows the founding purpose of J3D.AI Labs: to make peace more profitable than war.
