Wolfson Group, a Scotland-based international consumer wellness company, is expanding U.S. distribution of its non-prescription weight management brand PhenQ as new data underscores the rapid adoption of prescription GLP-1 medications. According to a June 2026 report from PwC, 21% of U.S. households included a current GLP-1 user as of May 2026, up from 9% in January 2025. The finding highlights how prescription treatments have moved into the mainstream of American weight management, while companies like Wolfson Group are positioning non-prescription wellness products as a separate, complementary category.
PhenQ is now available to U.S. consumers through Amazon and, more recently, through OneLavi.com, giving American shoppers another online destination to discover and purchase the product. The move reflects a broader U.S. strategy of developing multiple distribution channels while supporting a portfolio of established wellness brands.
“The weight management market is evolving, and consumers have more choices than ever before,” said the founder and CEO of Wolfson Group. “Prescription medications have become an important part of the conversation, but nutrition, physical activity and everyday lifestyle habits remain central to how people think about managing their weight. Our focus is on serving consumers in the non-prescription wellness market.”
The company stresses that PhenQ and prescription GLP-1 medications are distinct categories and that non-prescription wellness products should not be viewed as substitutes for prescribed medical treatments. Wolfson Group argues the shifting landscape creates opportunities for greater consumer education about the different categories of products and services available, their intended purposes and the importance of informed decisions. PhenQ is intended for adults interested in weight management as part of broader health and lifestyle routines.
The stakes extend beyond a single brand. Wolfson Group’s portfolio spans weight management, cognitive wellness, gut health and men’s wellbeing, including brands such as PhenQ, TestoPrime, NooCube and YourBiology. As GLP-1 use more than doubles across U.S. households in roughly sixteen months, the company is betting that clear information about product categories and responsible communication will remain important for consumers navigating an increasingly crowded marketplace.
Wolfson Group continues to pursue additional U.S. retail opportunities following its participation in the September ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The company said it will keep investing in consumer education, science-led brand development and expanded U.S. distribution as it builds its presence in the American wellness market.
