6 Stones Fall Blitz Unites Volunteers to Repair Homes and Strengthen Neighborhoods

Neighbors, volunteers, businesses, churches, and community partners joined forces with the cities of Euless, Hurst, and Grapevine on October 16-17 for the 6 Stones Community Powered Revitalization (CPR) Fall Blitz, an event that paired exterior home repairs with a shared commitment to caring for the community. The biannual initiative addresses a critical need for homeowners who face financial or physical barriers to maintaining their homes, while also building stronger connections among residents.

CPR connects homeowners in need with volunteers, skilled professionals, and resources to complete exterior repairs that might otherwise be unaffordable or physically impossible. By coordinating volunteer service, professional expertise, and sponsorship, the program creates a pathway to preserve homes and stabilize neighborhoods. The Fall Blitz is not just about hammering nails or painting siding; it is about ensuring that long-time residents can remain in safe, well-maintained homes, which helps prevent neighborhood decline and preserves property values.

The importance of this work is underscored by the reality that many homeowners, particularly seniors or those on fixed incomes, struggle to keep up with repairs as costs rise or physical limitations set in. The CPR program offers a practical solution by mobilizing a wide network of support. This year’s Fall Blitz saw participation from a diverse array of sponsors and partners, including 121 Community Church, Atmos Energy, Bank of America, Bell, Bloomfield Homes, Central Bible Church, the cities of Euless, Hurst, and Grapevine, Classic Chevrolet, Dalworth Restoration, DFW Plastics, Inc., First Hurst, Freedom Church, HEB Rotary, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, Integris, Joe Hall Roofing, KBKG, Republic Services, Republic Tire & Supply, RS Americas, Smith Lawn and Tree, Star Wellness, Stately Designs, Sunbelt Rentals, The Home Depot Foundation, and the cities of Bedford, Euless, and Grapevine. Food sponsors such as Al Hessling HOA Group, Alley Cats, Bohemian Bull Grapevine, Chick-fil-A Heritage Towne Crossing, Compassion for Kids, Cross City Church, Dave & Buster’s Euless, i Fratelli Pizza, Jersey Mike’s Hurst, Market Street Colleyville, and Soulman’s Bar-B-Que kept volunteers fueled throughout the two-day event.

The collective effort reflects a broad-based commitment to community revitalization that extends beyond individual projects. By bringing together such a wide range of stakeholders, the Fall Blitz demonstrates how local collaboration can address pressing housing needs while fostering relationships among neighbors. Homeowners are recognized as partners in the shared work, reinforcing the dignity and agency of those receiving assistance.
