JASDFW Golf Tournament Sets Record with 18-Under Par Round

The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth (JASDFW) held its annual golf tournament, bringing together business and community leaders for a day of competition and networking. The event, which took place under favorable weather conditions, concluded with a lunch catered by Texas de Brazil and an awards presentation.

The tournament was highlighted by a new scoring record. The Frisco Economic Development Corporation-sponsored team of Thai Thong, Jeremy Carroll, Chad Berens and Neil Nesladek finished with a score of 54, or 18 under par, the lowest ever recorded in the JASDFW tournament. The B12 Consulting team of Terry Woods, Jay Eubanks, William Johnson and Earl Carty took second place with a 57, 15 under par. Two teams tied for third at 10 under par: The Original Pancake House DFW and Toyota Team 2.

Individual honors went to Neil Nesladek for Closest to the Pin and Craig Fryer for Longest Drive. The Hole-in-One Contest on Hole #17, where golfers could win a Toyota Tundra, generated excitement, though no player claimed the vehicle this year. Two years ago, an SMBC participant made a winning hole-in-one and drove away with the truck.

Beyond competition, the tournament strengthened relationships among JASDFW members, partners and supporters, supporting the organization’s mission of fostering deeper connections between North Texas and Japan. The event underscored the importance of corporate and community engagement in sustaining bilateral ties.

JASDFW expressed gratitude to sponsors, including Title Sponsor Toyota, Tournament Lunch Sponsor Frisco Economic Development Corporation, Breakfast & Putting Contest Sponsor Irving Economic Development Partnership, Pin Flag Sponsor ORIX Corporation USA, Contest Sponsors City of Plano EDC and Toyota Tsusho America, Hole Sponsors B12 Consulting, Barnes & Thornburg, MUFG, Panasonic and CG Infinity, Scorecard Sponsors City of Carrollton and Artmac Soft, and Pro Golfer Sponsor AI Connex. The organization also thanked golfers, the Golf Committee, staff, volunteers and supporters.

The annual tournament remains a key gathering for JASDFW’s network, combining friendly competition with opportunities to build relationships and support the organization’s work. For images from the event, Click for Images.
