Global event ticketing platform Veritickets is making its debut at Tmall’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival, offering tickets to K-pop group BIGBANG’s upcoming November concert in Hong Kong and tour dates across 11 other markets, according to a press release distributed by Media OutReach Newswire. The move marks Tmall’s expansion into cross-border entertainment ticketing as a new digital lifestyle category, positioning Veritickets among the first platforms to bring international event ticketing to the e-commerce giant’s ecosystem.
The timing is significant. Tmall’s 11.11 festival, China’s largest annual shopping event, draws massive consumer attention, and adding ticketing to its offerings could reshape how Chinese consumers access overseas live entertainment. For Veritickets, the debut provides a high-visibility launchpad to reach Tmall’s vast user base and capitalize on growing demand for international events.
Beyond live music, Veritickets offers tickets to major international sporting events, including the League of Legends World Championship, UEFA Nations League matches, and fixtures across Europe’s five major domestic football leagues. During the festival, the company is partnering with Tmall Global on promotional activities, including a collaboration with the premium “88 VIP” membership program and TAOBAO Tickets, featuring daily prize draws with BIGBANG concert tickets among the prizes.
Since opening its Tmall Global store in June, Veritickets has grown its follower base from more than 800 to over 13,000 in just over four months, a 10-fold increase. Monthly gross merchandise value has risen by 106% since June. In October, the store received a brand partnership award from Taobao and Tmall Group for its contribution to developing new business opportunities on the platform.
Veritickets has also launched promotions aimed at making cross-border live entertainment more accessible, including free-ticket promotions for new users, zero-service-fee promotions for selected events in Hong Kong and Macau, and a partnership with AlipayHK for BIGBANG-related benefits. These initiatives address long-standing consumer challenges such as language barriers, complex payment processes, and uncertainty over ticket authenticity and availability.
The platform brings together official and vetted ticket inventory, allowing users to compare options, prices, and real-time availability in one place. It provides multilingual interfaces and multi-currency payment options, including Visa, Mastercard, and JCB, and is an officially certified partner of Alipay. To address authenticity concerns, Veritickets offers a “100% verified tickets” guarantee, with a full refund plus additional compensation of up to the ticket price if tickets are not delivered. The platform aims to issue confirmed, in-stock tickets within as little as 12 hours and provides real-time transaction verification and dedicated customer support.
Initially focused on Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia, Veritickets plans to strengthen its presence across Asia-Pacific and expand into additional international markets. It is also recruiting qualified ticketing agents globally, requiring valid operating licenses, strong credit records, and round-the-clock customer support capabilities.
The debut at 11.11 could accelerate the normalization of cross-border ticketing in China, where consumers have traditionally faced fragmented and risky channels for overseas events. By integrating with Tmall Global, Veritickets not only gains scale but also helps legitimize a segment that has long been plagued by trust issues. If successful, the model could encourage more international ticketing platforms to follow suit, potentially transforming how Chinese fans access global entertainment and sports.
