Buddy Integration Gives Flowhub Dispensaries SEO-Friendly Storefronts

Dispensaries using Flowhub point of sale can now replace their iframe-based online menus with fully indexed ecommerce websites through a new integration from Buddy, the cannabis ecommerce platform. The integration, announced August 23, 2026, connects directly to Flowhub’s API, converting live inventory into server-rendered product, category, and brand pages on the dispensary’s own domain. This shift addresses two major drawbacks of typical embedded menus: poor search engine visibility and lack of customer data ownership.

Most dispensaries using Flowhub currently sell online via embedded menus that render inside iframes. These iframes prevent search engines from indexing product pages, leaving the entire catalog invisible to Google and other search engines. Additionally, customer data resides on third-party domains, complicating data ownership and personalization efforts. Buddy’s integration syncs products, pricing, stock levels, and discounts from Flowhub in real time, while orders placed on the Buddy-built storefront flow directly back into Flowhub for fulfillment and compliance. This allows retailers to keep their existing point-of-sale workflow while upgrading only the ecommerce layer.

“Flowhub is a strong point of sale, but dispensaries have been settling for menu embeds that Google simply cannot read,” said a Buddy spokesperson. “With Buddy, a Flowhub store gets a real ecommerce website on its own domain, with every product indexed, in about a day. Retailers should not have to choose between the POS they trust and an online store that can actually rank.”

Buddy’s storefronts are built with SEO as a foundation, including server-side rendering on every page, automatically generated product schema with live pricing and availability, per-location metadata and LocalBusiness schema, editable sitemaps and robots.txt, and landing page tools designed for high-intent searches. These features aim to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to dispensary sites. Additionally, dispensaries can extend their Flowhub catalog to white-label iOS and Android mobile apps with push notifications and in-app checkout.

The integration comes as Buddy continues to expand its platform, which already powers more than 300 dispensary and brand websites across the United States, with a customer rating of 4.9 out of 5. Besides Flowhub, Buddy integrates with Dutchie, Treez, Jane, and Alpine IQ, and delivers new features weekly. Dispensaries running Flowhub can preview a working version of their own store before committing, with most launches completed in approximately 24 hours from connecting the POS.
