BZBGEAR has announced the launch of its new REEVE control system and a full lineup of residential AV products at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver. The company aims to solve a long-standing problem in home automation: the fragmentation of control interfaces. REEVE consolidates video, audio, climate, cameras, and other connected devices into a single, zone-based interface that runs locally on a wall-mounted tablet, eliminating the need for a rack-mounted controller or server PC.
According to Eugene Bocharov, CEO of BZBGEAR, “Control has always been the part of a residential system where good hardware goes to die — the interface is confusing, the programming is expensive, and the client stops using half of what they paid for. REEVE is our answer to that. One interface, organized around how people actually live in a space, running locally on a tablet with no rack and no server PC.”
The REEVE ecosystem consists of three components: REEVE Studio, a design tool for integrators to build zones and scenes; REEVE Player, the client-facing interface; and REEVE Cloud, which handles configuration, updates, and remote support. The system works without internet for daily use, only relying on the cloud for design and updates. It is compatible with a wide range of third-party devices, including displays from Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Sharp, TCL, Hisense, and Panasonic, as well as streaming sources like Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku TV, and Fire TV. REEVE software is included with compatible BZBGEAR products, with no license fees, and the tablet is sold separately.
Alongside REEVE, BZBGEAR is showcasing its residential product lineup at Booth C900. The XLink-ONE AV-over-IP series includes the BG-IPGEAR-XTREME, a multicast transceiver over 1GbE with USB 3.1 for KVM, and the BG-IPGEAR-XTREME-PRO, which supports 48Gbps HDMI 2.1, 4K120, video wall and multiview modes, and transmission up to 170 meters over Cat5e. The XTREME-PRO won AV Technology Best of Show at IBC 2025, and the XLink-ONE family took Best of Show at InfoComm 2026.
The AIR4KAST wireless HDMI family, which has received multiple awards across show cycles, includes the BG-AIR4KAST for basic 4K60 transmission, the BG-AIR4KAST-MKX for one-to-many distribution, and the BG-AIR4KAST-PRO with low latency (16-48ms) and KVM support. The PRO won a Top New Technology award at ISE 2026. BZBGEAR is also demonstrating its switching solutions, starting with a 4×2 matrix at $199 and an 8K 2×2 at $299, up to the BG-4K-VP44, a 4×4 matrix with video wall and multiview capabilities.
For KVM, BZBGEAR highlights the home office opportunity, offering 2×1 4K KVM at $149 and 4×1 at $199, with 8K models starting at $399. Extension products include a 4K HDMI/USB extender at $199 and a USB-C extender at $1,199 that carries video, USB 3.2, gigabit Ethernet, and 100W charging over a single Cat cable.
The company’s position on 8K is practical: while 8K content is scarce, HDMI 2.1’s 48Gbps bandwidth enhances 4K performance at high refresh rates and chroma subsampling. BZBGEAR offers 8K switchers starting at $39 and matrices starting at $299.
