Nanox Expands 3D Medical Imaging Access in Latin America with Costa Rica Distribution Agreement

Nano-X Imaging (NASDAQ: NNOX) announced on September 11, 2026, a distribution agreement with Costa Rica-based medical equipment distributor SOLME RC, S.A. to market and support the Nanox.ARC, a multi-source digital tomosynthesis system designed to expand access to 3D medical imaging. The agreement grants SOLME responsibility for marketing, distribution, installation, training, and ongoing technical support in Costa Rica, where it is a registered supplier to the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), the country’s principal purchaser and provider of hospital services.

Commercialization will follow applicable regulatory registration, including an initial six-month proof-of-concept device registration period before full registration. Costa Rica represents Nanox’s third Latin American market this year, following Argentina and Peru. The move underscores the company’s strategy to penetrate regions where access to advanced imaging is limited and to drive a global transition to preventive health care.

The Nanox.ARC is a cost-effective, 3D multi-source digital tomosynthesis imaging system designed for ease of use and scalability. It is part of a broader ecosystem that includes Nanox.AI, a suite of AI-based algorithms that augment the interpretation of routine CT imaging to identify early signs often associated with chronic disease; Nanox.CLOUD, a cloud-based platform for secure data management, storage, and advanced imaging analytics; Nanox.MARKETPLACE and USARAD Holdings, which provide access to remote radiology and cardiology experts and comprehensive teleradiology services; and Nanox Health IT, which combines healthcare IT expertise with leading technology partners to deliver RIS, PACS, AI, dictation, and secure infrastructure solutions.

By integrating imaging technology, AI, cloud infrastructure, clinical expertise, a marketplace, and health information technology, Nanox aims to lower barriers to adoption, improve utilization, and advance preventive care worldwide. The company’s vision is to expand the reach of medical imaging both within and beyond traditional hospital settings by providing a seamless solution from scan to interpretation and beyond.

The agreement with SOLME is a critical step in Nanox’s Latin American expansion. SOLME’s established relationship with the CCSS could facilitate adoption within Costa Rica’s public healthcare system, potentially improving early detection of diseases and patient outcomes. For Nanox, each new market adds to its global footprint and validates its model of affordable, scalable imaging solutions.

Investors and industry observers will watch whether the proof-of-concept registration leads to full commercialization and whether the partnership serves as a template for further expansion in the region.
