1win Charity has directed more than $170,000 to charitable projects in India, supporting elderly care, sports infrastructure, disaster recovery, and environmental restoration, the organization announced in a press release distributed via Media OutReach Newswire.
The funding forms part of 1win Charity’s ongoing community initiatives across the country, which the philanthropic branch of 1win says are designed to provide practical support and lasting benefits to local communities.
In partnership with Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat, 1win Charity provided wheelchairs and essential medication to residents of elderly care homes. The initiative builds on an earlier collaboration with Goyat that supplied pensioners with everyday essentials, drinking water, food, and medicine, including support for residents with mobility difficulties. The focus on elderly care reflects a broader commitment to vulnerable populations, addressing immediate needs such as healthcare access and mobility.
Between May and August, the organization restored cricket and football grounds and outdoor workout areas in Bengaluru, Shillong, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Noida. The playgrounds were reopened to local communities free of charge. By improving access to sports facilities, the charity aims to promote physical activity and community cohesion, particularly for youth who may lack safe recreational spaces.
Following severe flooding in Assam, 1win Charity supported the reconstruction of a local village to help affected families regain permanent housing. The project concentrated on long-term recovery and rebuilding after floods damaged homes and displaced residents. This intervention addresses the critical need for durable housing in disaster-prone regions, where temporary relief often gives way to prolonged displacement.
Environmental restoration has been another focus area. In July, 1win Charity partnered with environmental activist and Touchforearth founder Adesh Soni to plant 100,000 trees in Haryana’s Bhiwani district. More than 100 volunteers participated in the ten-day initiative, preparing land, improving soil conditions, transporting saplings, and planting trees. The large-scale tree-planting effort contributes to carbon sequestration, soil conservation, and local ecosystem health, with potential long-term benefits for air quality and biodiversity.
These projects are part of 1win Charity’s global “We Care. We Share” program, through which the organization works with local partners, volunteers, and communities to develop initiatives that serve local needs. The program emphasizes collaboration with grassroots organizations and community leaders to ensure projects are tailored to specific local challenges.
1win Charity plans to continue its work in India with further community-oriented initiatives, prioritizing practical support and projects intended to provide lasting benefits to the communities involved. More information about the organization’s activities is available at https://1win.charity/.
The announcement underscores the growing role of private philanthropic efforts in addressing social and environmental issues in India, where government resources alone often cannot meet the scale of need. By focusing on elderly care, sports infrastructure, disaster recovery, and environmental restoration, 1win Charity is targeting areas that directly affect quality of life and community resilience. The involvement of local figures like Goyat and Soni highlights the importance of partnerships in implementing effective, culturally relevant programs.
