Belle, a telehealth company that connects patients with licensed providers, was named in The Where Business’s ranking of the best places to get semaglutide without insurance, which compared six online providers on criteria related to cash-pay pricing, clinician oversight and medication transparency.
The Where Business is a retail-focused blog that publishes comparison guides and rankings across consumer product categories, including beauty, supplements, fitness, electronics and home goods. Its semaglutide guide compared six telehealth services using the factors the guide says cash-pay patients weigh most, including price transparency, clinician involvement and pharmacy disclosure.
According to the guide, providers were scored on six weighted criteria: cash-pay value and pricing transparency at 25 percent, clinician oversight and support access at 20 percent, dose flexibility and refill simplicity at 15 percent, medication and pharmacy transparency at 15 percent, shipping, supplies and convenience at 15 percent and education, safety information and fit at 10 percent.
The Where Business ranked Belle No. 1 among the six providers evaluated, citing its pricing clarity, no-insurance model, clinician prescribing and included support, according to the ranking. The guide notes that compounded medications are not FDA-approved and that a licensed clinician should determine whether any GLP-1 treatment is appropriate.
Belle’s compounded semaglutide is a once-weekly injection prescribed by a licensed clinician, available from $109 per month with free shipping. According to the company, the program includes clinician oversight, nurse support and nutrition guidance, and approved orders ship from a U.S. compounding pharmacy in three to five days. Belle states that it is not the compounding pharmacy or manufacturer, that compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and that a prescription is issued only after a provider reviews a patient’s medical history and determines treatment is appropriate.
“We aim to be clear about pricing and about what is and isn’t included, and we appreciate that the guide looked closely at those details,” said a Belle spokesperson.
