Omron Healthcare Co., Ltd. announced the U.S. launch of the VIVA 360+ Full-Body Smart Scale on October 13, 2026, a connected body composition monitor that measures up to 18 metrics to give users a more comprehensive view of their health. The product, which will roll out to other markets in the coming months, combines full-body measurement with a new Athlete Mode and integration with the OMRON Connect app, helping users understand how exercise, diet, and lifestyle choices affect their bodies.
The launch comes as more consumers pursue active lifestyles and look beyond weight alone to assess their health. Obesity and other lifestyle-related conditions remain major concerns, and the growing use of GLP-1 medications for diabetes and weight management is driving interest in monitoring body composition changes, such as body fat, skeletal muscle, and body water. Because body weight alone does not always tell the full story of physical progress, the VIVA 360+ measures a broader range of metrics, including segmental analysis of the arms, trunk, and legs through electrodes in both hands and feet. New indicators like body water percentage, bone mass, and fat-free mass provide a more holistic perspective.
A key addition is Athlete Mode, designed for people who train frequently or intensively, such as runners and strength-training enthusiasts. Standard body composition algorithms may be less suited to individuals with higher muscle mass relative to their BMI, so Athlete Mode uses athlete reference data to deliver tailored measurements. Integration with the OMRON Connect app allows users to track body composition data and trends over time through numerical values and graphs.
